Our nation turns 238 this year. If you are interested in celebrating its birthday on Florida’s Emerald Coast, you’re in luck. There are several great 4th of July options for you and your family in Destin, Sandestin, Seaside, Rosemary Beach, and Fort Walton Beach. Read on.
The4th of July Extravaganza on the Harbor at HarborWalk Villagetakes place from the 3rd through the 5th. The festivities begin on Thursday with the Red, White, and Blue Celebration honoring Tom Rice and the Honorable Sam Seevers with a WWII vintage flyover followed at 9:00 pm by fireworks. On Friday, the Victory Belles, dressed in period attire, will sing the 1940s. Fireworks will light up the sky again, beginning at 9:00 pm. Gypsy Riot will provide live music on Saturday night at the Destin Harbor.
Make plans to attend Stars& Stripes at Seaside – A July 4th Celebration at the amphitheater in Seaside. Beginning at 8:00 am, enjoy the Annual July 4thparade down 30A, concluding in Seaside. Later in the day, grab a spot on the lawn to enjoy Pops from the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra followed by fireworks.
Have fun with a unique Independence Day golf cart parade at the Red, White, and Baytownecelebration at the Village of Baytowne Wharf. There are family activities throughout the day and a spectacular fireworks display over the lagoon beginning at 9:15 pm.
Bring your bike to the bike decorating breakfast at North Barrett Square at 7:30 am and join in the bike parade. The parade is followed by a family field day from 9:00 – 11:00 am, a barbecue from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, and a concert beginning at 6:30 pm, all leading up to a fireworks display on the beach at 8:45 pm.
In Fort Walton Beach:
Spend the 4th at the Fort Walton Beach Landing on Brooks Street. From 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm there will be food and exhibitor’s booths. Make an afternoon of it and enjoy live music, entertainment, and children’s activities. The fireworks display will begin at approximately 8:45 pm.
