Destin–Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) remains fully operational. However, the ongoing shutdown is affecting some federal partners — including TSA, FAA, and CBP — whose dedicated employees continue to work without pay. Travelers may experience longer lines or occasional delays, especially at larger hub airports.
What Travelers Can Do:
• Arrive Early: Please plan to arrive at least two hours before departure.
• Stay Informed: Check directly with your airline for flight updates
• Be patient and courteous — a simple “thank you” means a lot
• Park Smart: Review TSA packing guidelines to move through security smoothly
